During this project the existing works was kept in service until the new works was commissioned, when all flows were diverted to the new plant.

The site was constructed to cater for a total of 330 litres/sec FFT and a total of 660 litre/sec during storm conditions. The new plant consists of inlet screening, grit removal, inlet and Storm pumping stations, CAS tanks, storm tank, sludge holding tank, buffer tank, odour control, sludge thickening, RAS & SAS pumping, site lighting, tanker loading facilities and MCC, all connected to networks via telemetry.
