This contract involved the construction of a new Wastewater Treatment Plant on a site adjacent to the existing CAS plant. The new plant consists of a complete Inlet Works for the removal of grit, grease, and screenings, Inlet Balancing Tank, twin SBR's (Sequencing Batch Reactors), and Outlet Balancing Tank. There is on-site facility for Sludge Thickening and storage and there is an Odour Control Plant for the abatement of undesirable odours due to the close proximity of the town.

Population: the plant has been designed to deal with the anticipated population of 7000 people and the effluent quality will be less than:

Suspended Solids: 30mg/l
Ammonia as N: 6.5mg/l
Phosphate: 2
Oils, Fats & Grease: 0
